Steve started in the golf industry at age 14. Fredericksburg Golf was founded by his father Jim in 1991. Jim retired in 1997 and Steve became the sole owner at that time. Steve is an expert Club Fitter with 35 years of experience and certified by every manufacturer he deals with. Steve's knowledge goes far beyond fitting, diving deep into product technology, up to date fitting processes and expert club repair. Steve is also an accomplished competitive golfer and former college player.

Tim moved to the Fredericksburg area in 2015, joining Fredericksburg Country Club as an Assistant Golf Professional. In 2017, he took a position with Troon Management Company as a golf professional before joining Fredericksburg Golf Center as Store Manager in 2019. Tim has since become a Certified Master Fitter for custom golf clubs and has been recognized as a Callaway Top 100 Fitter in the world. In 2012, Tim passed the PGA Playing Ability Test, and in 2014 he had the unique honor of caddying at Pebble Beach in a Champions Tour event. He has fit players ranging from Major League Baseball athletes to juniors in the First Tee program. Tim's genuine love for the game and his passion for growing it through instruction and club fitting makes every day a great day.

Pat Fountain

Manager · Fitter · Repair Specialist

Pat has been a Class A PGA Member for 33 years. He started in the golf business in Northern Virginia, and has experience as a Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, and General Manager. His passion for the game has led to valuable knowledge and skills as an instructor, player, and club fitter. Pat offers a uniquely qualified skill set to the club fitting experience at Fredericksburg Golf Center. Offering instruction during a club fitting provides the customer with a more comprehensive understanding of their unique specifications, while at the same time understanding and improving their golf swing. Pat is available to instruct players of all ability levels, both here at Fredericksburg Golf Center, as well as offering playing lessons at two area private country clubs. Pat has extensive knowledge and qualifications as a club repair specialist, providing multiple services on all golf clubs. Pat's success is directly attributable to his professionalism, interpersonal skills, and his ability to put students and customers at ease, creating fun and enjoyable experiences.
